yah, that is true... maybe you actually spotted SCRAMBLE CRABS! the hurtle crabs dwell in slightly lower to the ground environments. but there is some definite awesomeness to the scrambling here. I will update the cryptozoo Google map to indicate a possible second species if you concur as an expert crypto zoographer ^_^

Notice how whenever anyone (myself included!) climbed onto something, they had to go onto their back in order to bring their arms up. Ideally, you will be on hands and feet the *whole* time. Not that it's particularly important--I'm just nitpicking :P

oh but dav, i think the height of the hurdles was what made it so fun! i have literally never hurdled over anything like that before... it required abs, balance, arm strength... it was supercool. i will definitely look for more hurdle crabs at that height in the future ^_^

I hear they're more common in the East Bay than in San Francisco.

(I also realized that the hurdles used in this video are a mite too tall. I shall keep that in mind.)
